The White Cat is Jody Summer's machine, being her racecar of choice since F-Zero X. It was designed by Jody's father, Mason Summer, and Jody took ownership of it after her father's passing in order to race in his honor. She named it the "White Cat" as that is what her father used to call her. The machine's strongest stat is its grip, with the body and boost being average.

The Galactic Space Federation designed this machine with adequate grip for every type of course on the circuit. They did so using actual combat data from all sorts of planets, factoring in varying gravity levels, atmospheric resistance, and temperature extremes. In planning for the future, they are researching the possibilities of implementing technology using military-grade stealth components. If they are successful, the White Cat will have no rival.

F-Zero: GP Legend

The White Cat is made available after clearing Jody's story mode. It boasts a decent acceleration with good top speed and high cornering capabilities.

F-Zero Climax

The White Cat becomes unlocked after completing the bronze cup on novice or higher.

Design and namesake

Design

The White Cat is a very sleek racer. The main part of the body consists of a fairly narrow white frame with the cockpit built into it near the front-end. In the back are two blue engine cover arcs with cooling vents that feed air directly into the engines. On the nose of the car are two stability fins situated horizontally and held by blue connectors. Underneath the canopy is a small red underside. The engines are positioned horizontally and divided into two pairs. The vehicle's name is printed right behind the canopy.

Name

The White Cat is comprised of the words white, the lightest color and cat, a domesticated feline that are commonly kept as pets.

Correlation

The majority of the White Cat is colored white. The engine covers are meant to resemble a cat's hind legs in a pounce ready position whereas the front fins are meant to resemble a cat's whiskers.

Differences between games

The White Cat's changes remain small throughout the series. The engine covers were originally a lavender color in F-Zero X before turning blue in F-Zero GX. They would darken further and cover up the sides of the engines starting in F-Zero: GP Legend onward. The "White Cat" printing was originally lavender in X and changed with alternate coloring alongside the engine covers. The writing changed to red in GX and included a pair of menacing cat eyes just above it.
