Baba (ババ, Baba^[?]) is an F-Zero racer from the planet Giant, first appearing in F-Zero X. As Giant is full of expansive green land, Baba was able to hone his animal instincts and maintain his muscular physique. When he was recruited by the F-Zero Pilot Selection Committee, he left his home to undergo training for the F-Zero Grand Prix. Between F-Zero X and F-Zero GX, Baba set out on a spiritual journey, which increased his skills, but has also made him overconfident and boastful.

Baba also appeared in F-Zero: GP Legend as a member of the Dark Million organization.

He has preternatural animal instincts and a resilient, well-toned physique, both of which factored into his recruitment by the F-ZERO Pilot Selection Committee. He left his home and underwent a great deal of training in order to make his F-ZERO Grand Prix debut last year. He didn't win, unfortunately, and knowing he still had much to learn, he set out on a spiritual journey. As a result, his physical strength has increased twofold. However, he is also a bit overconfident now and is considered somewhat of a big-mouth. Instruction manual description Straight from the lust green planet of Giant is Baba, scouted by a member of the F-ZERO Pilot Selection Committee because of his keen animal instincts and limitless physical prowess. After hard training, Baba's physical acuity has improved, as has his boasting.

Trivia

• In F-Zero X, when Baba falls off of a course, his scream is that of a female driver, and not of a male driver.
• In F-Zero GX, Baba's interview answers "The F-Zero goddess wins again!" and "Never underestimate a man in drag!" are removed in the Western releases of F-Zero GX due to them referencing Baba's sexuality.
