Motion Strip

Motion Strips are panels on the track that push or pull machines in the direction they travel. They appear in F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, F-Zero: GP Legend, and F-Zero Climax. The machines don't slow down like in the Rough, but the net velocity makes the machine appear it is going slower. They first appear in Bianca City Stretch Circuit. Once the machine gets off, the effects are gone without any need to pick up speed. Some of these strips go in a favorable direction, like in Sand Ocean Caterpillar and Fire Field Warrior Circuit. Other times, they make the pilots drift somewhere they don't want to go, like in Crater Land Skid Zone Circuit and Fire Field (Platinum Cup's 8th track).
