Blood Falcon is an F-Zero racer first appearing in F-Zero X. Although listed in the race literature as 37 years old, Blood Falcon is actually a clone created from Captain Falcon’s DNA, which was stolen while he was hospitalized after the huge accident four years ago. With that in mind, Blood Falcon is technically only four years old. He is capable of everything Captain Falcon can do, but he has been strictly taught to obey all the commands of his evil master, Black Shadow.

His purpose is to defeat Captain Falcon. To give him a competitive chance against Captain Falcon, he was given a race machine of a different build than the original Blue Falcon. Despite his strict obedience to his master, Blood Falcon isn't quite sure of who he actually is or if he is fully human. Regardless of that, he aims to defeat and kill Captain Falcon. That way there will be only one true Falcon: Blood Falcon. However, during an interview with F-Zero TV, he claims that he is not the only clone of Captain Falcon, with is shown to be true in the anime F-Zero: GP Legend.

F-Zero: GP Legend

Similar to his game counterpart, Blood Falcon serves as an evil doppelganger of Captain Falcon faithfully serving Black Shadow, first appearing in the episode "Another Falcon". In the featured race, he is shown to be a far more dangerous racer as he willingly drives the opposite way to crash into the other racers, leaving his own machine without any dents and has his own version of Booster Fire called "Black Fire". He attempts to take down both Rick and Captain Falcon but his Black Fire runs out and is defeated by the two racers' combined efforts. Despite losing, Blood Falcon simply smiles as a directed thunder blast obliterates his car, killing him. The end of the episode also confirms that there are multiple Blood Falcon clones, making him both invaluable and indispensable.

Another Blood Falcon clone is also dispatched to kill Captain Falcon and Rick in a Death Race inside a cave, now powered by a Reactor Might. The activation of his causes Blue Falcon's and Dragon Bird's to activate in kind, the resonating waves causing a body of water to open up and create an arena. With both Booster Fires active to combat Blood Falcon's enhanced Black Fire, the three machines clash in a battle of Spin Attacks. The repeated spin clashes eventually open up a wormhole prompting the three to try and escape. Captain Falcon however pushes Rick away from danger and Blood Falcon tries to take Captain Falcon with him, both machines ending up drifting into the rift.

One last Blood Falcon clone appears in the episode "Mobile Task Force Breakup!". However, this one's biology was modified completely to function as a liquid-based shapeshifter and is snuck into the Mobile Task Force HQ by Pico to create distrust and chaos into the team after capturing their leader and impersonating him, allowing an assault force to attack the base. After he is exposed, he is shortly confronted by Jody Summer and is briefly subdued but sneaks away in liquid form into the Dragon Bird. During the attempt to drive back the attack, Blood Falcon reconstitutes on the canopy and attempts to break through and impale him with morphed arms. However, he is killed when Rick activates his Booster Fire, tearing his body apart from the massive G-Forces.
