- This article is about the second desert track found in BS F-Zero Grand Prix. For the first desert track, see Sand Storm I. For the desert track appearing in F-Zero, see Sand Ocean.
Sand Storm is a track originating from BS F-Zero Grand Prix, taking place on the planet Sand Ocean. The track bears some similarities with Sand Ocean from the original F-Zero. Sand Storm features several notable mechanics, such as Mines, Rough terrain, damaging side Pull Magnets, and sharp right-angle turns. The final corner has a Dash Zone.
In F-Zero 99, a new mechanic was added to the map, which is limited visibility due to sandy winds. After the first racer crosses to start lap two, the storm will intensify and the racers' vision will reduce significantly, similar to Mist Flow. The storm ends after the top racer crosses to start lap four.
BS F-Zero Grand Prix / BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2
This track appears in BS F-Zero Grand Prix and BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2, taking place of Sand Ocean. In BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2, it features no discernible track differences aside from some design choices, such as the removal of fancy barriers during the stretch with Pull Magnets and a slightly darker atmosphere.

The track itself remains mostly unchanged. There are sand particles throughout the entire track to obscure vision, getting worse after the first racer begins their second lap. Super Sparks and the Pit's glowing can be seen through the sand. The Rough terrain is the same shape, but takes up more track space.
