FZFW:Super Arrow (Anime)
- This article is about the Anime Universe Super Arrow. For the Main Universe character with the same name, see Super Arrow.
Template:Character Super Arrow is the pilot of the King Meteor, a self-proclaimed superhero and the husband of Mrs. Arrow. He is often seen with an robotic owl whose name lacks an official translation, but rendered as "Zukku" in the F-Zero Climax JP romaji, and pronounced as "Zuck" in the 4Kids English Dub of the anime.
Personality
Super Arrow styles himself as a traditional comic-book style superhero, a symbol of peace and justice and enemy of all things evil. In truth, he is actually completely ineffective at being a hero, possessing no fighting ability or any actual superpowers. This unfortunately often ends up landing him in deep trouble, forcing others to come to his rescue. Due to boundless (and often blind) optimism, he is also gullible to a fault, and is easily tricked into obvious traps even when others attempt to talk sense into him.
Despite his faults, Super Arrow does possess the heart of a hero, and does make a genuine effort to help those in need. He is also fanatically devoted to his wife, whom he affectionately refers to as "Honey".
History
F-Zero Farukon Densetsu (Anime)
2201
Super Arrow married Mrs. Arrow at some point prior, and the couple also became F-Zero pilots. The two were even rumored to have bought matching machines. Super Arrow had participated in a 2201 race in Lap 7. Though he came in second place after Ryu Suzaku, the two pilots later encountered each other off the track.[1] When members of the Bloody Chain attacked Dream and Truecome, Super Arrow had arrived to stop the gang. However, his boastful entry resulted in slipping off his own machine, and his wife would then help him up.[1] Despite his announcement of being a superhero, the gang didn't seem to recognize him as one, nor cared, and charged towards the Arrows.[1] As the Arrows held each other in fear,[1] Ryu Suzaku arrived on the scene and sent the Bloody Chain retreating.[1]
After the incident, Ryu had been invited to Truecome's fancy house for dinner.[1] But upon being invited again for Dream's birthday, Ryu also invited the Arrows at the suggestion of Dr. Stewart.[1] At the party, the Arrows, Ryu Suzaku, and Lucy Liberty were eventually led to the basement and became trapped in a laser beam cell. Truecome revealed that he was helping Michael Chain in kidnapping F-Zero pilots, and then returned to Dream upstairs.
Ryu then suggested that Super Arrow use his robot owl to escape, but repeated attempts resulted in failure.[1] In the attempts, Super Arrow had fallen asleep, dreaming of saving the day by cutting through the laser beams with a sword and later being praised by his wife for his apparent success.[1] He woke up only to find out that it had been nothing more than a dream.[1] However, Truecome came back down again, this time with Dream, to apologize and free the pilots.[1] After dealing with the Bloody Chain members in and out of the fancy house, the gang retreated.[1] The Arrows, Ryu, and Lucy watched Dream and Truecome reconcile.[1] At the Dream and Truecome's wedding, the group of four pilots were seen in the chapel.[1]
2202
In the year 2202, Super Arrow had been unknowingly manipulated by a girl named 'Sofia' in Lap 16, who was actually Miss Killer in disguise. After believing the girl's false tragic backstory, Super Arrow was intent on helping 'Sofia' perform an F-Zero technique allegedly discovered by her father, which Super Arrow would then call "the Sandwich Burst." Despite attempts from Ryu and Lucy to persuade Super Arrow otherwise about the girl's real identity, Super Arrow continued to assist her.
At the race, as Super Arrow and Ryu's machines utilized their boosts, Miss Killer's own machine would boost through the middle of them, causing her to gain an immense burst of speed and get ahead in the race. Ryu, falling behind, was then assisted by Mrs. Arrow in her Queen Meteor, giving him the boost needed to catch up and defeat Miss Killer in the race. After the race, though Super Arrow apologized to his wife, she reassured by him saying he acted "like an envoy of justice," and was only doing what he thought was right. Though he lamented that 'Sofia' did not win the race, Mrs. Arrow smiled and stated that his kindness was why she loved him. She then gently reminded him to let her win "next time," and Super Arrow proudly declared he would do anything for her. The Arrows then drove off into the sunset.
He appeared once alongside his wife in the crowd during Lap 47 - Fate.
2207
At the 2207 Grand Prix, he had announced his presence before Samurai Goroh made a remark about him.
F-Zero GP Legend (GBA game)
Although he had no role to play in the game's story mode nor a biography in the manual, he is a playable character as the pilot of the King Meteor.

Trivia
- Unlike his Mainverse counterpart, the Animeverse Super Arrow appears to have no actual superpowers, and is not publicly recognized as a superhero.
- F-Zero Climax states that Super Arrow is the self-proclaimed hero of justice, but doesn't necessarily say that he isn't a superhero.
- In the 4Kids English Dub, Dr. Stewart makes a rather mean remark that the Arrows are "a couple of wackos who think they’re superheroes" and that "they’re the ones that keep the “Zero” in F-Zero." Originally, Dr. Stewart suggests that Ryu could invite the Arrows to Dream's party, adding that he heard that the Arrows bought matching F-Zero machines.
