Octoman is the pilot of the Deep Claw, and is a member of Dark Million.

History

Octoman was seen as a member of Dark Million, mostly paired alongside Bio Rex. Despite working for Dark Million, he was not overly evil, and seemed to follow their orders out of fear rather than ambition.

In Lap 17, Octoman was responsible for stealing classic cars in Mute City. Upon Miss Killer finding out, she suggested that Octoman should help her in obtaining data on Ryu's driving ability. While Octoman's initial plan was ultimately thwarted by Ryu Suzaku and Clank Hughes, Ryu was left to confront Miss Killer.

During Lap 24, Octoman's fellow Takorans came to Earth for a visit, mistakenly believing that he was a hero due to him being the only Takoran pilot. They were not aware of his ties to Dark Million, which Octoman tried to hide. When the Grand Prix was held, Octoman was ordered to aid Zoda to victory, but instead betrayed him in order to win the race for his people. By a stroke of luck, the other pilots lost control of their machines, allowing Octoman's Deep Claw to cross the finish line first.

In Lap 51, Octoman was ordered to take part in final battle on the Dark Star. Octoman grew uneasy about Black Shadow's plans and worried about their effect on Takora. Finally upon seeing the danger of the battle, Octoman along with Bio Rex, Baba and The Skull decided to quit dark Million, and fled instead of fighting the Elite Mobile Task Force.

In the 2207 F-Zero Grand Prix, Octoman's machine can be seen along the lineup. The pilot himself was seen when he again crashed into Bio Rex.

Octoman is a playable character with his machine, the Deep Claw. He is featured in Ryu Suzaku's Story Mode.

	Octoman (English Translation): From the distant planet Takora, Octoman participates in the F-Zero races as a representative of both his people and his 100 children. But victory is still not yet within his reach. Because of these circumstances, he's become one of Zoda's underlings to try and achieve his goals.

• Octoman and Bio-Rex are frequently used for comic relief, with a recurring gag being the two racers often running into each other.
