Gamehiker Wiki
This is Masamune, the owner of the Gamehiker Wiki. It's come to my attention that the majority (if not all, I haven't checked) of the racer profiles have been ripped off directly from the Gamehiker Wiki. While I don't mind competition, ripping off the efforts of myself and other editors is done in poor taste.
This is a list of our F-Zero pilots from the Gamehiker Wiki: http://www.gamehiker.com/wiki/index.php?title=Characters_in_F-Zero_series
I'm hoping that the stolen text will be removed so I don't have to report it to Wikia. - Masamune 149.164.163.8 04:41, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
New F-Zero Game?
Lateley I've been hearing rumors that there's going to be a new F-Zero game for the Wii called "F-Zero Z"... Aparentley, there's going to be a weapon sytem in the game... Or so I've heard...Lord Xale 01:06, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
it was a rumor, it was proven false, it was pissing me off (cuz i want a new one), and it was 5 months ago. sorry to sound blunt. lol ;) - nah but 4 real ive heard F-Zero DS is going to be realesed alongside Starfox Wii. Kperfekt722 00:33, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Heh, a new Starfox game for the Wii and an F-Zero game for the DS... Looks like I'm going to have some serious game shopping to do... What? There are a lot of games that I've been anticipating...Lord Xale 07:23, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
hey uh,
you know how zeldapedia & kirby wiki have a battles page? we should do that! Kperfekt722 00:33, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah... I like that idea... Sounds good...Lord Xale 04:35, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Main Page Suggestion
Instead of...
...how about this?
It's not the biggest difference, but the dots do look cleaner in my opinion. --Vhehs2 02:12, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- When I was making it, I didn't remember to make that replacement. I was too lazy to copy the dot at the time... SuperAlpaca 02:30, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Broken link
The main page currently links to "F-Zero: Maximum Velocity" instead of F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, which is taken as a red link. Can somebody fix this? --Torchickens 20:50, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Is this a NIWA Wiki?
Just asking...it's seems so but it's not on NIWA, maybe because it's quite recent. And yes, I know you guys moved from Wikia. 69.228.92.227 19:09, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- Oh...I see. You still don't appear on NIWA though. 69.228.92.227 19:12, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- To clarify: The wiki has been worked on by staff members of other NIWA wikis since its move from Wikia. Yesterday, we made the wiki publicly editable, though this does not yet constitute NIWA membership. --Moydow T 20:28, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- We aren't currently members of NIWA, but we would love it if you could help us get there. Please also, Check out this Thread :). Tacopill 23:35, 24 July 2011 (UTC).

Helping Out
Hi! I am Starphoria, a wiki volunteer who edits on Wikia. I truly understand your sadness by Wikia's failure to please its users, and so am I. I want to help out on this wiki by creating multiple new templates such as:
Missing Image Templates Section Stub
etc. Also, who was the team that moved this? Punch Out!! Wiki also wants to fork, and all help would be appreciated! I'll help out as much as possible :D --Starphoria 23:32, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hi there, it's great to have you here! Any help you can offer is much appreciated. The team who helped move this wiki consisted of myself, Tacopill, Archaic and Level 3. Currently, the wiki is hosted on the same servers as NIWA, which in turn is hosted on the Bulbagarden servers. I'm sure that if you asked around on the NIWA Forums, you'll find someone who may be willing to help you in moving from Wikia. Best of luck! --Moydow T 00:39, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
- Welcome aboard. I am Tacopill, one of the admins. It is a pleasure to meet you.
- I am personally cool with you creating those templates. Just, if you can, please keep it in our color schemes.
- I can ask around to see if anyone would be willing to host a Punch-Out!! wiki.
- Tacopill 00:52, 8 December 2011 (UTC).
- Alright thanks. I created the Missing Image one, feel free to alter! If you do not feel the category is necessary, go ahead and delete it and remove the <includeonly> tags from the Template:Image. Is there anyway I can avoid the preview thing when I add the Image template? Do I need the Ambassador user right or whatnot? Its going to get annoying when I just make a really minor edit. --Starphoria 21:39, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
- You mean both. 30 days and 100 edits. --Moydow T 05:43, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Did I not say that? Tacopill 18:02, 10 December 2011 (UTC).
Featured Image
Hi. If no one else wants to, I volunteer to do the Featured Image each time, if I am allowed, that is. --Triphoria (C·E) 22:00, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
- It is possible. first, please elaborate what you intend to do. Tacopill 05:23, 10 December 2011 (UTC).
- I will most likely put a picture there, and make sure its about the same size each time, and then I would place a caption underneath it describing what the picture is about. If you have any more ideas, please say. --Triphoria (C·E) 17:05, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Alright, so far so good. Would you be willing to take community input? if so, how? voting? notimations? etc. Tacopill 18:03, 10 December 2011 (UTC).
- Community input would be nice. We could make a page such as "F-Zero Wiki:Featured Image Nominations" or something of a similar name. --Triphoria (C·E) 00:52, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- I agree, this is certainly something that needs community input. --Moydow T 01:24, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- Alright. Any layout suggestions? --Triphoria (C·E) 01:36, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- If I understand the question correctly, I've seen a few different systems with various different layouts.
- featured-content-of-the-time-period - An image or article is chosen to be the featured content of the [specified time period]. The content is shown on during the time period, and then removed for when the time period is over. The next one is voted upon in the current time period, and then posted on the first of the new time period. This method has more of a formality and is easier to implement; but less fun and varied, in my opinion. This method will use a single template.
- featured-content-randomly-shown - when the main page is loaded, a piece of featured content is chosen at random from up to, lets say, 10 options. These 10 options are chosen by the community at any time, and can be replaced, removed or added as the community sees fit. This option is more fun and varied; but is harder to implement and has less of a formality, in my opinion. This method uses 1 template overall, and then 10 templates, one for each featured content.
- What I think we may want to do is combine the two. We vote monthly for new featured content, with each month being a related to a specific template. This way, there is still variety and there is a monthly formality we follow.
- I hope I explained that good. If not, feel free to ask me questions. Tacopill 18:11, 11 December 2011 (UTC).

(Reset Indent) Sounds good. I like both options. I'll help out with whatever you want to do. --Triphoria (C·E) 20:50, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- Start drafting a policy/implementation page, where the nominations and voting can go, please. I will take care of the templates. Tacopill 21:17, 12 December 2011 (UTC).
Join NIWA
All mute city inhabitable NIWA is needed of a new partners and an f-zero wiki would be perfect i think it would not only be helpful to f-zero wiki but help NIWA accomplish exactly what we want to world domination and after that a great information on Nintendo products respond asap and we can work something out --99.190.109.17 23:45, 29 December 2011 (UTC)fudgehog15
- ... I'm not sure if I fully understand the meaning of your message. Are you telling us we should apply for NIWA membership, or that you're "offering" us membership? I do know that NIWA don't just hand out membership, and I don't recognise your username as that of any member of staff at a NIWA wiki. Besides, this wiki isn't quite up to the standards becoming of a NIWA member wiki yet. We are working on it, but we won't be joining during 2011. --Moydow T 04:30, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
Changing To-Do List section
Since the To-Do list will become pretty much empty shortly (since most of those are done anyway), and it isn't really necessary anymore, should we replace it with something different? We already removed it from the side bar, and it should probably be changed on the Main Page as well. --Starphoria (C·E) 23:35, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- We could add stuff to it... but I don't know what. Tacopill 00:19, 1 March 2012 (UTC).
