Vandalism

The wiki is being vandalized by multiple IP addresses. I left a similar message on Tacopill's talk page. Several new pages have been created, and I cannot delete them. The IPs are still editing now, so is it possible to block anonymous edits until the situation is resolved? Popenotorious 15:01, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Starfy Wiki forum banner request

Hello Moydow, I'm Torchickens, an admin of Starfy Wiki. Starphoria and I thought that it would be a good idea if Starfy Wiki had a signature banner for the NIWA forums, based on the one which you designed for F-Zero Wiki. We aren't very experienced with designing banners, and we were wondering whether you could make one for us? We will credit you for making the banner. Okay, I know next to nothing about the Starfy games, so I just took the wiki's logo and a picture of Starfy.

I think it looks great! I especially like how the multiple shades of blue blend in to each other. We were thinking about possibly having extra characters (perhaps Starly and Moe) but I've no problem with the banner you made, because it doesn't seem that there would be much room. There seems to be a shade which doesn't quite match (on the s), but I'll change that to match the darkest shade of blue.

Hello

Why did you delete one of my Captain Falcon darkness attack pics? That was his upgrade because his fire is not strong enough to burn more on characters.--Brandondorf9999 16:36, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

Because Captain Falcon is unable to perform darkness-based attacks. Not in Super Smash Bros., not F-Zero, not anything other than hacks. And this Wiki only covers official content of the F-Zero and Super Smash Bros. franchises. As Captain Falcon cannot use darkness, your hacks are unofficial, and therefore completely banned. Adminship

I made a small note of this on Tacopill's talk page, but I'll make mention here too. At the moment, you seem to be the only admin that is combating the ongoing spambot wave, and what with timezones and all, it is sometimes a few hours before you are able to take action about it. I live in the UK, so if you can trust me with admin powers, we could basically have an admin active at all times to fight this vandal wave. I'm an admin on Icaruspedia, and am a dedicated user (and rollbacker) on SmashWiki, so I've got the CV. If you don't want to entrust adminship to myself, or would rather give it to someone else, then I would understand, but the suggestion is out there. ToastUltimatum 16:49, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

I've been doing all the necessary updates, including adding {{Admin}} to my userpage, though it's saying "You are not an administrator. You are not allowed to use this template." in red text. Does this just take a while to update or something? ToastUltimatum 19:37, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Questions about sources on this wiki

Hi. I came to this wiki to look at character bios and something is really bothering me. Most pages do not cite an information source for their information. I'm talking about thibgs like Captain Falcon and Goroh being partners in something called the Internova Police Force, the Skull's name being Sterling LaVaughn, Mrs. Arrow's (maiden) name being Monique L'amoreaux, Jody's father being a professor named Mason who Tanaka studied under, and a lot of other information that I KNOW does not come from any F-Zero game or their included manual. I'd really like to know where this information is coming from. Will Keaton --108.181.107.189 01:01, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

Most of that information comes from before I joined the wiki. I do seem to recall the Skull's name being mentioned in the F-Zero X manual, or something from around then, but the others I don't know about. This sort of information should of course be sourced and cited properly, but lack of sources seems to be a common problem here, something I'd like to get sorted as soon as possible. Hello I am the New Admin to your old wiki on wikia. I am here to inform you that I need help removing something that someone put on my wiki. It is a thing that says Attention! This wiki has left Wikia! Users are requested to leave this wikia and begin editing at the new site. I do not know how to remove this btw it is in the RecentChanges page.
