The Nintendo Switch is Nintendo's seventh home console platform. It is a hybrid system, being able to be played while not connected to a display. It was released worldwide on March 3, 2017. It has received two alternate models, the Nintendo Switch Lite and Nintendo Switch OLED.

History

The Nintendo Switch was first announced in March 2015 with the codename NX,[1] then given its current name in October 2016.[2] It then released in March 2017 and has sold over 140 million units.[3]

F-Zero games

F-Zero 99 is the only new F-Zero game released for Nintendo Switch, being released digital-only on September 14, 2023.

F-Zero is available via the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service, and F-Zero X and F-Zero: Maximum Velocity are available via its Expansion Pack.

Captain Falcon is also playable in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and him and the Blue Falcon are referenced in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
