Zero Racers stats
According to images from the game Zero Racers, the vehicles in it had three stats that are not currently in this template; response, body turn, and course turn. Should these be added to the template, or are there not enough articles where they could be used (Origammy is the only Zero Racers vehicle article currently on the wiki)? - We could maybe make those optional variables, so they only show up on the few pages that will use them. --Moydow T 18:55, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed. Tacopill 20:55, 10 November 2011 (UTC).
- On closer inspection, it seems these stats are described using bars rather than numbers, so they are not exact. They probably don't belong in the template, unless there's some way to show graphics with it or something. Popenotorious 16:30, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
- It's possible, with a couple of different options.
- 1. Bar Graph using a table-based info.

- 2. Bar Graph using a image-based info.
- This one is the same as above, except having 1x10px blocks that stack together to form bars.
- There's probably others, but that is all I can thinks of at the moment.

- I measured the bars in the image of Origammy. Rounding to the nearest whole number, the body turn bar is about 81% filled (58 of 72 pixels) and the course turn bar is about 47% filled (34 of 72 pixels). Of course, these could be inaccurate, since the image has probably been resized from its original source. I'll wait to hear back from someone before I put the stats in the template because of this concern.

- On a side note, does F-Zero Wiki have a policy on original research, like Wikipedia? Would my having measured that image pixel-by-pixel constitute original research? Popenotorious 15:47, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
- I personally don't think it counts as original research, as you thoroughly examined it, nor would I be against it as it is useful. Tacopill 00:54, 24 November 2011 (UTC).
- Yep, that works for me. --Moydow T 23:23, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
- Is it possible to include a table in an infobox like this? I've been fiddling around with it, and I can't seem to get it to work. Then again, I'm certainly no expert on wiki markup. Should the information just be put in as text, like all the other fields? Popenotorious 17:37, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
- Alright, after some experimenting I think I have a solution that works. Take a look at the soucre and rendering of the Origammy page. The bar's are an embedded table that uses percentages to figure out how much to fill up with white, and it keeps the remaining portion black.
- Now, due to how I have it is set up currently, it doesn't do well with "100%"'s, instead coming out more like 99% or pushing the entire table up past what is suppose to be 100%.
- What do you think? Tacopill 15:01, 29 November 2011 (UTC).
- That looks great, thanks! About the 100% problem, I've seen the images of all 4 vehicles in Zero Racers, and none of them have 100% in either stat. It shouldn't be a problem.

- One other thing, I made a mistake when I posted my initial message here. "Response" isn't a statistic, but a header (body turn and course turn are the "response stats"). I didn't notice my mistake until a short while ago, but I've already fixed the it in the template. Popenotorious 17:24, 29 November 2011 (UTC)
- You are welcome, and not a problem; I am happy to help. :). Tacopill 18:51, 29 November 2011 (UTC).
