Now that we have a Sitenotice, this should be installed so it can be dismissed [1] ToastUltimatum 23:49, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

I added the extension, but it doesn't seem to work so well - it only dismisses the text, and not the CSS borders. Should I leave it installed, or remove it? --Moydow ^T 21:56, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

I'd still leave it installed, but perhaps we should get someone else to see why it's messing up. ToastUltimatum 23:16, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

It's probably to do with the fact that the CSS code is contained in the skin files, and not in the site notice itself, and the extension is presumably set up to only hide the contents of the MediaWiki page. There may be some way to modify the extension to hide the CSS content as well, though. --Moydow ^T 23:57, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

I've looked into it, and that is indeed the problem. Surely all one must do is transfer the CSS code into the Sitenotice, and all is K. ToastUltimatum 22:11, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
